ABOKADO is a Korean skincare brand set to provide Avocado enriched products to help improve all different skin textures and enhance your beauty. This brand identity consists of logo design, advertising, and product design.
Coming up with the design of the logo was the most difficult part of the entire process. There is a lot of different approaches I could take; abstract, heavy in typography, cute and fun designs, and more. So I sketched out a lot of different variations of how to approach this logo. Since the Japanese culture is very cutesy, I decided that the little avocado character with the headwrap would be the best fit.
B&W Color Design
Once the logo was vectorized, I first did it in black and white, making sure it can work in a monochrome format. The common problem I had was figuring out where to put the text, mainly because I didn't want it to feel disconnected from the avocado character.
Final Logo Design
With the final design, I ended up having it below the avocado in a text box. This way, with packaging, I can have the type of skincare name, what its purpose is, and any other components below.
I really wanted to continue the avocado theme throughout everything, so with the business card, I needed to figure out how I can keep that theme without it being too overwhelming and legible.

Abokado's most popular product, Sensitive Skin Cleanser, is a lightweight formula that hydrates, cleanses, and brightens the skin. The packaging design has an all-over avocado pattern to tie in with the brand.
Advertising & Marketing
With the first set of advertising designs, social media is a great source to make the product stand out and get discovered. Instagram is a great resource when promoting products, eye-catching designs can interest the viewer in learning about the product or a company promoting the product.
The Logo design of Abokado has lots of curves and circles, and I wanted to emulate that in the marketing designs as well to make it cohesive.
